Mutual of Omaha - 78
AIG                          - 75

Size matters.  Nebraska players too large.  Alumni Hall crowd too small.

Nebraska barely shoots 30% from the outside so far.   They have some size which could give us some problems,  but this is one of those teams our shotblocking could help.   I've also read that two of their players, Allen and Gill are unlikely or questionable to play.  They have a very talented backcourt but have been inconsistent.  A game at home, against a solid team like this is one we have to win if we have sights on the tourney.  We need to be beating middling major conference teams like this one.

We lose by 7. Get out rebounded by 20. Panic ensues

Couple of these early and Mullin will change things up and start Owens with Clark and we will take off from there.

Owens hasn’t deserved to start. He needs to dominate the weak teams we’ve played so far. He could barely keep his balance. I hope he just needs to get into a groove, but so far, in this small sample size, he isn’t looking at all like one of the conference’s best centers.

If they really are a poor three point shooting team, and that 30% isn’t too small of a sample, we should have a zone ready for them. It will help us to match up with bigger teams, and it will Yakwe something to do that he actually knows how to do. Kid cannot play man.

Marvin Clark has to play smarter. Too many fouls early on.   Looking for Owen's to make an impact tonight. I think St. John's wins and covers.

He's the key to this season. We need him to not just be good, but to be one of the best big men in Big East.

How much of a difference do you think starting TO over Bash would make?

Coach has the best players identified and all will play a lot.  As of this printing, Owens is averaging 22.5 min. a game and Ahmed 21.5.

If its a small difference isn't it worth it? Rather play the bigger lineup and help clark stay away from early fouls.

Exactly. Plus it just sucks to start a game getting killed down low. Why look overmatched to start a game? And honestly I think Ahmed is really suited to 6th man role.
