In the last game in particular there were a lot of positives.

- Simon's energy on defense and rebounding were impressive.
- Ponds finds ways to score when his three isn't falling - he's a great scorer
- Yakwe may have found his mojo. Let's hope he has, because we're not dancing without 15/16 Kassoum Yakwe.
- Owens is rebounding and blocking shots
- Could have beaten Nebraska by 45 points if we fouled less and blew fewer lay ups.

Agree. I am very happy. Coach had the boys playing well. 3 big games and a ridiculous scimmage coming .

Glad to have Marvin Clark on the team, like him as a player.

Let's table the celebration for a week.

Not really a celebration simply just discussion.

Exactly, we all know that Nebraska isnt Michigan State, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be happy with a performance that exceeded our expectations. There have been so few reasons to be happy as a fan, I will enjoy this until we play Oregon State, and we’re gonna beat the snot outa them, too.

To quote our HOF coach, “I can only coach one team”

This is just weird timing. We don't know what this team is yet and we have four games in seven days, so it's not like we have to wait long to find out.

Some people like to get excited about their team after a seven month layoff knowing there are plenty of areas that need work.

I get that. I hope there will be a time or two this season I post about possibly being ranked if we beat the next opponent, but I just don't understand this thread. We don't even have an identity yet. We've seen three very different games already. I don't even know what we are yet, so I find it very hard to even offer an opinion on what we might become let alone what we are already.

I went to all three.

Personally,  my support has been off the charts thus far.  Please, come join me.  This entertaining group and young coach deserve it.

I would consider us a fast paced guard oriented team, that needs to hit its threes. That’s obvious.

I think it is obvious what we are......a team that will live or die with great guard play and who can potentially be very good if the questionable front line delivers at even an average level.     Defense has improved dramatically so this is  hopefully no longer a major issue.

Like Dave said we discuss every game, and posters give opinions. Its still early. But, IMO against a high major opponent, we looked more cohesive, played much better D, rebounded better and looked to find the open man, playing more unselfish bb. No poster has a crystal ball, so we will have to let the season play out see what happens.
