A guy that size could help against certain teams. Could be useful  in matchups. Clearly not a plug in starter, but a big man project is not the worst use of a slot.

Nikola Scekic received offers from Greg McDermott at Creighton and Jamie Dixon at TCU last month.  If he's good enough for them, his size can probably help us for 2 seasons.  Grab him with Kante and Yetna, a sit out guard if need be and I think we upgraded our C/PF spots by a lot for next year.

10 mpg, 4 ppg, 2 reb pg this season.   To his credit, has an offer from tcu.  Left new mexico as a frosh 2 months into his career there in 2015.  Saw that he had a hoya offer before going to new mexico, laregly because an assistant there had a father who was the kid's trainer for 2 years. 
7'2 and plays way below the rim all the while playing 10 mpg at a juco and averaging 4 and 2. What's not to like?

Agreed. I would take one of the freshman and hopefully a grad big who can play minutes for the front court.

Yeah well who do you think is out there that can do it?  I think people's expectations are higher than the talent pool currently.

Yeah well who do you think is out there that can do it?  I think people's expectations are higher than the talent pool currently. 

The transfer talent pool is incredibly deep. Whether we can get in there is another story. But that is what Matt A is all about right? We aren't in a position to load up on 3-star hs bigs that take time. Xavier always has great big man play, but when was the last time they had a freshman make big contributioms? Tyrique Jones is a stud who will be All Big East and he barely played for them this past season.
