Would love to see him as a priority for 2017. Expect him to become a consensus Top 50 recruit and possibly even greater than that.

Could end up being 2016. His best attribute so far is his heart. Fears no one. Been that way since he was a 5'7 8th grader. Grew 8 inches Over year and a half

Diallo's AAU Coach Jay David on his visit to SJU:

RedStormReport.com spoke with Diallo's AAU Coach Jay David (NY JayHawks) who accompanied the talented guard on the on-campus visit. "[The visit] went well," said Coach David. "[It] was a good experience, nice people there. It was good to speak about their vision."

While it was a visit, David said that it was more of an introduction to the school, to the staff and to the direction of the program and what Diallo could bring the Johnnies.

"The vision they spoke of was mostly about what they wanted for St. John's and thought that Hamidou brought a certain versatility and work ethic with him."As far as what SJU is looking for in general, David said "Versatile, smart, high character guys." He also added that Mullin said that he wanted to try and keep the best NY guys home.

Coach Davis said that Diallo met with both Mullin and assistant coach Matt Abdelmassih as well as with the skills, strength and conditioning staff.

Along with Louisville, Diallo mentioned Syracuse, Indiana and Wake Forest as places he hoped to line up unofficial visits to. He has, however, already seen both St. John's and Connecticut.

"St. John's has a nice campus and it is in my city of New York, so that was a nice visit," said Diallo. "UConn has a really nice practice facility."

Staff has done a April offer, June visit, and he's predictably skyrocketed through the ranks this Summer. Are we aggressively pursuing him? Is he still teetering w 2016/17? This kid goes toe to toe w Duval, now in the Elite 24, NYer, have to prioritize him imo.

 All the way up to #11 on espn's top 100 for 17. Just behind Duval and Bamba.
