No clue who the schools are since I'm not a subscriber, but two BE schools lead for him per Scout:

Saw him play this weekend. He's really good. Him and Jordan Washington are big time tandem that will be moving their way up the ranks in NYC. Both play for Kimani Young.

Evan Daniels thinks in the end Samuel's may end up a Johnnie:

*Finally there is three-star guard Terrence Samuel out of New York. Samuel says that Villanova and Cincinnati are the two schools at the top of his list right now, but do not sleep on St. John’s in this one. In fact a pair of sources both said that at the end of the day they think the Red Storm are in the best position to land Samuel.

For many years Villanova outrecruited us for New York players.

I wish that we outrecruit Villanova now. Jevon Thomas is a good beginning.

With Coach Lavin on the scene, the Nova Pipeline will slow down with NYC recruits that we are interested in.

Pitt, Louisville, Arizona & Nova offered Terrence Samuel, a 2013 PG from New Heights (NY), this week. They join Iowa State & Cincinnati.

Samuel has seen his stock soar recently. After a few good performances on the early spring AAU period word was out that he was a player coaches should keep an eye on and those that came to check him out were not disappointed with what they saw.

“Pitt, Villanova, Cincinnati, Louisville, Arizona, Iowa State, Rutgers [and] Oregon State,” said Samuel when asked about offers received, noting many came since July began. He also mentioned VCU, Virginia, Temple and St. John’s as schools expressing new interest recently.

Samuel singled out five schools that are coming at him the hardest at this point.

“Iowa State, Cincinnati, Penn State, Temple and VCU,” replied Samuel when asked what schools were recruiting him the hardest.

The interest certainly does not stop there as Samuel listed many top programs he is considering. There are currently no favorites or leaders.

“All,” said Samuel when asked by NBE what schools he was considering that are active in his recruitment. “Temple, Villanova, Arizona, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Oregon State, West Virginia, Iowa State, Penn State, South Florida, [VCU, Cincinnati and more].”

FWIW, he seems to have a heavy dose of mid-majors pushing hardest.  If we aren't, not sure how much we want the kid.  I've never seen him play, so don't know how good he is, but the truth is that we have sooo few ships to work with considering Lavin's prowess in this area.  Pretty sure that we're ante up and all-in with Rysheed Jordan for that class.  Just a guess.

He's a big, strong guard. He needs to develop more of an outside game and he often excels due to his superior strength and size. He's getting recruited at a proper level. St. John's hasn't really been in contact with him lately and if they were interested in anyone on that team it's Jordan Washington.

There are a ton of good PG prospects in '13-'14 classes.
