I don't know how to do links, but Jersey Record is reporting P.J. as first assistant.  Not sure if they can afford that.

@franfraschilla: Known Chris Mullin since he was 14. If anyone can reverse the curse, he can. Good stuff here. http://t.co/9DBlfHTgYX

What makes you guys think slice isn't coming? With a lot of mullin as a coach is an unknown I really think slice is the key piece.  Would be dissapointing news

wow Aikens and Salnave chiming in already

But how do they even know who he is??!?!?

/idiot sportswriters
For every kid he will recruit there are parents/aunts and uncles/grandparents/handlers who all know who Chris is and think about what it will be like for them when Chris walks into their home and what they will say to their kids that Chris is recruiting

Yep. Plus every kid is capable of googling their potential coach.

All they need to do is Google or Youtube Chris Mullin.

Watched a video last night where Mark Jackson claims the only reason he ever played in the NBA is because of Chris Mullin. Who was his teammate.

question:  is there a formal 'hand-off' from previous staff with new staff?  for example, handover of potential recruit information, etc.

Lot of coverage in the Daily News today including the backpage and a Lupica article.

If they want to be the best then they better get the best, to get the best you better pay up.

Mullin came here to win a NC and nothing less. If you think he took the job just to have SJU as a contender every year, then you are badly mistaken.

I haven't seen it mentioned, but will the assistants go with Lavin if he heads out west? Or is it too obvious - they will head out for sure simply to have a AC job?

The only one kind of in a bad spot is Hines

I wonder if he stays to take a local job or try to get in with the Nets or Knicks

Here he comes!

@FisolaNYDN: Chris Mullin is apparently arriving in New York tomorrow. All these years later the kid from Brooklyn is finally coming home. Just awesome.

Frank Isola ‏@FisolaNYDN
Someone get Isaiah Briscoe on the phone and tell him Chris Mullin is coming home. With due respect to Coach Cal, you get everybody.
