JJ Moore is set to visit St. John’s tomorrow afternoon after he plays in his IS8 game with the Panthers at 10:30AM. This will be Moore’s 2nd to his final 3 visits as he will visit Pittsburgh the following weekend.
St. John’s fans are hoping not have Jan Brady syndrome with Moore’s visit to St. John’s being the forgotten middle visit of the three. Moore left Louisville very impressed with Coach Pitino and the way his practice was conducted and is looking to see St. John’s and Pittsburgh in the same type of atmosphere in order to compare and decide on the schools.
Pittsburgh’s head coach Jamie Dixon has been in hot pursuit of Moore. In addition to Coach Dixon’s efforts, assistant Brandin Knight, has been a frequent visitor at South Kent prep this fall and that has kept Moore’s interest in the Panther’s program. So hopefully Coach Roberts runs the practice of his life as he prepares the team for their scrimmage against St. Francis (NY) on Sunday.
This might be slightly encouraging news that he has canceled his visit to a rival school but I wouldn’t read too much into it. I’m sure Jayvaughn wants to play in IS8 as much as Lance Stephenson did when he canceled his visit to Kansas last year. Even so this should still bring a smile to everyone’s face picturing Gonzo nose deep in a box of kleenex whining about this.
