I thought the ending was mad weak. Other then that both actors were great and lots of action and suspense.

I thought it was a pretty poor movie. It was a predictable hostage movie and the ending did suck.

If you're looking for a good movie along these lines go rent "hostage" with bruce willis...bad ass

The original is a subtle classic. I was so pissed to hear about this remake...

I was just speaking to a client at work about this and he said the original was awesome. Also he said Transformers 2 is off the hook.

For everyone else who doesn't live in NYC, they'll never know, but this movie had some serious flaws in scenery. The Federal Reserve in "Brooklyn" was actually 100 Church Street in Manhattan and since when does a runaway train headed for Coney Island ever pass by Shea Stadium? There were others...but all in all, I liked the movie... very NYC flavored, even down to the casting.

The mayor in the original makes it for me; captures the spirit of the "wow, this city is f**ked" that I remember growing up with early on.
