Title: 2017 Recommended List
Post by: bball purist on April 13, 2015, 09:41:06 AM
Outside of the players already being targeted/offered by the staff, I began wondering if JJ board members had any local players (born/lived/live/go to school in NYC Tri-State area that they thought should warrant attention from the staff for 2017/2018 since after they begin tackling our immediate needs, they'll be starting to reach further out for the big '16-'18 classes.  I'll be curious to see how the scholarship distribution strategy unfolds.

For example, in the '17 class, for some obvious players: while Mohammed Bamba goes to Westtown Prep School in West Chester, PA, he is from Harlem.  He's 22nd in ESPN's Top 25 for 2017.

Trevon Duval (St. Benedict's) - I will guess that Mullin & Co. can still get in play even with UConn, Louisville, Cuse and Nova already offered. Easier said than done.

For 2017, maybe Wenyan Gabriel might be of interest as a potential stretch four. I'm guessing stretch fours will have a definite role in Mullin's offense.

Providence and RI have offered, but am wondering if the staff will venture out with 3 star rated players before trying to connect hard on all NY area players
