Holiday Fest dont got no juice.

I agree Choz, zero juice. Should be 4 local teams playing

I have no problem w the teams.  3 local teams (not 4,
but Marist is local enough)  plus an ACC  team is fine.

Subbing in Fordham, Iona, Hofstra, Manhattan, etc
for Columbia though would have been better though.

St Johns,Fordham,Hofstra and either IONA or Manhattan would have been great

ST John's, Manhattan, Hofstra, Wagner or Fordham

Iona can play Faber College, Hogwarts, The school of rock and that college Brandon, Steve, Donna Martin and the rest of the 90210 kids went to. Can call it the fake school tourney. I think Hogwarts would be favored.

We definitely need a power conference team to give it some juice.  I ust don't think we can make it all locals.
When you're a kid from New York and you do it in New York, that lasts forever!

The way it ought to be:

St. John
2 good locals
A powerhouse

Way it was for years. Garden was jumpin.

And y'all cant tell me a top team dont wanna come to NYC at Christmas and bring all they fans and alums. 'Cause they do fo evry other preseason tourney.

The Holiday Fest is a straight up disgrace these day.

And Aeropostale should be givin out some hoodies.
Parking only for NYCHA permit holders.

That can only happen when St. John's has a chance to beat that powerhouse.  Every school east of the Mississippi (and many to the west) would roll deep to the Garden, for sure.

We would never have a problem booking a big time team at the Garden during Christmas.  The only thing keeping one away is us being terrible.

What team wouldn't want to come here at Christmas?

I feel very positive about this weekend. I think this team is beginning to come together at just the right time.

I say we win both games!

Let's go RED STORM!!!

Pass the Kool Aid.

Maybe your not so negative after all. I guess the threat dedicated to "positive thoughts" has lightened you up a bit!  ;)

I say the red storm beat Marist fairly easy but have a major test against a good Va Tech team with Malcolm Delaney , A.D Vasallo and Jeff Allen. This Va tech team is good. I have seen them play 3 times this season. They got beat on a half court shot at the buzzer by Xavier and lost at the buzzer to wisconsin on a Trevon Hughes floater. Then they lost to a bad georgia team by 1 in athens.

Hopefully they lose to a bad SJU team by 1 at MSG

I'm not impressed with VA Tech but they definitely have too much fire power for Colombia who looks like the stj law school intramural team starring tha kid

I'm assuming we're beating Marist would you rather play VA Tech or Columbia?

I cant help it. I smell the impending doom in the Big East schedule and I can see Norm working on his excuses already and that gets me angry.

I guess we have to want to play VA Tech, but a tiny part of me wants Columbia only because it might be last time we win for awhile lol.

I would much rather lose to VA Tech by 5 than beat Columbia.

(Of course, rather beat VT)
