What kind of New Yorker goes to UT?
Maybe someone reminded him just how much that pathetic state sucks.

I just think Jayvaughn is confused on where he wants to go. I think Kimani Young tried to get Jayvuaghn to get the decision done as quick as possible much like all of his other New Heights kids. I also think he wants Jayvaughn to make an informed decision.

With this all being said I'd love to see Jayvaughn here but if there is another capable player willing to accept a scholarship prior I'd get first come first serve.

I wonder if it has anything to do with another Football player being arrested yesterday?  That's 3 in the past week or so.

Tennessee is quickly becoming the UWV of the SEC. Their academics are shoddy too. It's a shame what happened to Daniel West. I thought we were gonna recruit him over Tyshwan Edmondson at the time. It's funny how things work out.

I would suspect Jayvaughn holding off his decision comes at the heels of many reports saying that Tobias Harris is favoring Tennessee.  They COULD play together in the frontcourt, but I bet Jayvaughn wants to hold off and see what happens with Tobias and reassess.

This is my understanding of how it went down. Jay called Tenn Mon night to tell them he was coming. His family was upset he would be to far away, and that was the biggest factor. He himself didn't care at all about Harris but others mentioned it might affect his PT. Jay has said his biggest concern is winning which I hear is false, Jay wants to make $$$$$ on the next level and thought UT was his best shot, which is why he chose them. I know Nova is what people think will be next if its not UT but I heard thats false. SJU is now right there as is SH. And btw, Norm assured Jay that no matter what he would have a ship' for him

This season will turn into Survivor Island if that's the case.

And often its the handlers who make the kid even more confused.

Who's Harrison Barnes' "handler?"
Austin Rivers? Kyrie Irving? Roscoe Smith? Kendall Marshall? Ray McCallum? Trey Ziegler? Phil Pressey? Nate Lubick? Brad Beal?

The key is to have a strong, independent parent (usually male) who isn't looking at their kid as a meal ticket. All these kids have at least one strong parent.

Sleeveless, how can you make an assumption like that?
I'd expect a Duke, or NC fan to say something like that.

Quite a few of these kids don't have a role model.
Who did our own Rob Thomas have?

Sleeveless, how can you make an assumption like that?
Because I've dealt with everyone of those kids. These are the people you have to deal with to get access to the kid.
Barnes-Mother (Shirley)-lets almost nobody get near the nuclear three
Rivers-Mother...they live in Winter Park (picture Scarsdale with nice weather)
Smith-father, Brian, is extremely protective-barely left played AAU over the past four years
Irving-father, Drederick made money at Cantor F.
Marshall-dad is paranoid and goes wherever he goes-everywhere
McCallum-father, Ray, is very protective-in case you didn't know, he's a college head coach(Detroit)
Trey Ziegler-see McCallum,
Phil Pressey-dad, Paul, was an ex-NBA player and also an NBA assistant
Lubick-very protective father/situation and extremely disciplined kid
Brad Beal-Mother is very protective
Sullinger-Dad was a long-time and very tough coach

So who transfers or who do we "ask to transfer" if we get a commitment from Jayvaughn?

I'll add Chris Wright's (G'town "Hated" Hoyas) father to your list, Sleeveless....   Had numerous conversations with his dad during the summer of '05 and '06.  You can tell his dad is a straight-shooter and 'watches' over his son.  Seems like a good guy, as well.
