Zags also says Lavin plans on using Stith, Lindsey, Harrison, and Greene interchangeably. Thats a nice lineup of guards who can handle the ball and shoot. Stith as the 3rd or 4th option isn't bad at all, man we will be deep at guard and forward.

Great news!  Welcome aboard Phillip Greene!  When's the last time we brought someone in from Chicago?

Welcome aboard Phil.

I think it's inevitable well use the 10th ship (Jevon gets Quincy's transfer scholly) on a big.  We kinda have to at this point.  If something happens to Pelle like an extended injury or something else we are gonna be in tough shape.  We are going to have to go with a combo of Polee, Sampson and Meikle at the 4/5 for extended minutes.

ANd this doesnt even take into account if Pelle gets in foul trouble....

Hopefully the big is God's Gift...

Also...I credit Phil Greene, Amir Garrett, and Sir Dom among others to commit knowing the type of players we already brought in at similar positions. I think it takes a lot of guts to do that knowing the competition and it also shows alot of confidence in each of their abilities.  Also, a huge credit to Lavin and his recruiting skills.

Green, a 6-foot-3 guard, had a host of programs recruiting him, but he fell for the historic side of St. John's.

"He loves New York and he loves Madison Square Garden," Walden said. "That was his dream school. He wanted to go to St. John's."

I dont get this comment. If you are referring to his playing time I think you are wrong. With Greene, Lindsey, and Harrison we have three guards in this class. If he plays well he will see plenty of time as a backup guard next year and if Lindsey leaves early at any point he could even start games. From everything I have read he seems like a good solid player and if he works hard and keeps improving he will find plenty of PT. We are not all that deep with guards, if he were a combo forward I would agree he would be stuck on the bench but he is a combo guard.

I dont get this comment.

I don't get anything Baldi says.  I'm wondering why he spends time on this site when IONA is his true love.

If the 23 other guards already signed are better than him, why the hell would he come here? To sit next to Dunlap? Same goes for Calhoun. Are we going to start 5 guards?

And for Moose, I grew up a St Johns fan long before I ever heard of Iona. I went to Iona, therefore I am a fan. Ive said this numerous times,Is that hard to follow?

If you spent 8 years of your life as an Iona student you'd love them too.
