As great as Carter is he has the propensity to get out of shape and he can be a bit lazy at times. In this instance I think the year away from the game will help.

You think he ends up here?

He and Adonis can be weight watcher buddies.

Throw in JDR and Christian Jones.  Big boys...should be sponsored by Campbell's Chunky.

Rarely "bad" except a Jarvis led visit;

@AdamZagoria: Robert Carter Jr. has finished his visit to #sjubb and his AAU coach Winfred Jordan said it was "good." Stay tuned for more.

Some people on the GT site think he may not transfer, although I don't know we're they got their info from.

Can someone even take a visit to another school then decide not to transfer? I would think the NCAA wouldn't allow that.

My guess it would be fair game if he got his outright release but that would def cause lots of probs if kids started doing that. Atleast in co case, he never went to see another school.

I'd be very surprised if he doesn't wind up at St. John's.

But again Dave, based on what ? Should we be expecting a verbal as was talked about  after his visit, ie. he possibly wouldn't be taking any other trips per his AAU coach.

"If all goes well, it’s possible he won’t take any more visits and could commit to the Johnnies tomorrow when he leaves the Queens school or later this week."

http://zagsblog.com/articles/robert-carter-could-decide-after-st-johns-visit/

I know he is not eligible immediately but this would be a GIGANTIC get.  He is an established high major big man who has been a stud since high school.

They can then go after Diallo with some room for error.
Gigantic in the sense that I think Carter is the best transfer "fit" for SJ's.  I really can't lose on him if he goes to MD or SJ's.  I really want SJ's to land Carter because we need him worse for the upward mobility of the program.  Carter can change a LOT in two years, maybe even helping sway some of the other big recruits towards the beautiful city campus of SJ's. Fingers crossed.

Obedka visited with Donavan at Florida after he got his release. Then decided to stay here.

I remember the name Florida coming up, but don't recall him visiting the School.

I read Carter is still going to Texas and Baylor.  Scott Drew needs to get in his "all the other coaches suck because" spiel.
