I'd be very surprised if he doesn't wind up at St. John's.
Purist, has he visited Maryland yet? see they lost Mitchell today also.

Thanks, Dave  Very encouraging!

But again Dave, based on what ? Should we be expecting a verbal as was talked about  after his visit, ie. he possibly wouldn't be taking any other trips per his AAU coach.
I read Carter is still going to Texas and Baylor.  Scott Drew needs to get in his "all the other coaches suck because" spiel.

Sorry about the duplication, Purist I thought he was to visit Maryland also, is that true? Mitchell left today, that's 5 transfer this year!

Obedka visited with Donavan at Florida after he got his release. Then decided to stay here.

Coach Donovan probably told Obekpa he'd come off the bench. He doesn't take any bullshit, ask Mike Rosario or Eli Carter.

That's great to hear.  Although MD got even thinner up front with Mitchell transferring today.

Georgia Tech transfer Robert Carter will visit Maryland on June 2, his former AAU coach, Winfred Jordan, told InsideMDSports.com.

Carter, a 6-foot-8, 247-pound power forward, is also considering St. John's, Kansas and South Carolina, Jordan said. The former McDonald's all-American, who averaged 11.4 points and 8.4 rebounds last season as a sophomore, recently visit St. John's.

As I said on a different site.  This is a kid from Georgia/South looking at his second college and potentially moving hundreds of miles away from home.

He wants to be sure.  Throw in the fact that it has been a dead period from 5/22 thru Friday meaning no visits allowed there is nothing unusual about what he is doing.  Need to let it play out.

Does not look very promising for St Johns. After a mad rush with the Chicago kids, Lawrence, rumors of Carter and Faust, all we have is Thomas at this point.

Carter would be a game-changer for 2015.  I won't get my hopes up, but it'd sure be nice.

Carter is confirmed for a visit next week at UMD.  His coach is quoted as saying, "He thought the chance to play his home games at Madison Square Garden was unbelievable,” Jordan said. β€œIt’s a big market, and Robert is a Southern kid [from Thomasville, Ga.], and those kind of things impress you.”[/size]

If he is has to visit MD which he has decided to do.  A visit with few kids on campus post finals should play in our favor.  Keep the faith.   Lav will close!
