Wrapped up visit with USC yesterday visiting Maryland tomorrow.

For the record both Maryland and SJU have summer sessions starting today 6/2.

SJU has Session 1 running from today thru July 7th.  Session 2 runnning from July 9th thru August 12th.

Maryland has from today thru 7/11.  Session 2 is 7/14 thru 8/22.

So obviously wherever he goes it will be Session 2.

Stating the obvious, but each college in consideration is an UnderArmour school.

"Carter visit is going very well. From what I hear, parents are blown away by the area and feel MD gives him every chance succeed. It is ironic how some kids that want to leave the area is the exact same reason why others want to come. Carter is from the middle of nowhere Georgia and wants to experience life in a big city. If we get him, the Big 10 move is a huge reason why."

When you're a kid from New York and you do it in New York, that lasts forever!

I'd be very surprised if he doesn't wind up at St. John's.

Maryland bound.  What happened?

Rothstein and ESPN - Carter to Terps.

Carter could have helped more here.  It was a tough pull considering Carter almost committed to MD the first time.  Plus, it's hard enough prying GA guys up north.

sounds to me like Carter liked that there are already concrete plans (committed players) at Maryland for 2015.  He knows who he'll be playing with.  Versus us, where we lose the core of our team after this season.  (and i don't want to hear that Jordan and Obekpa will be around in '15).

Not dissing obekpa but why would he be such a loss . I think he is gone next year also . We have a year to replace him. I don't think he is bad but I don't think he is good. He is the most overrated player we have ever had.

@insidemdsports: Despite rumors about Auburn, Robert Carter Jr. told me St. John's was actually the other finalist w/ Terps. #sjubb

I don't think he's overrated at all. We are a completely different team defensively with him on the court.

Sick another guy we didn't get....... Can't wait to land a bunch of 3 stars and JUCOs for the class of 2015 and people try to spin that into a success....

MD lost 5 players this year, so what are the odds all their committed players stick? I happen to like Turgeon too.

LOL and if we never got in the discussion with this guy at all you wouldn't have cared. There are still tons of big fish in 2015, which makes your above statement ridiculous.

But how about the 5 players leaving their program. How come that kind of negative doesn't affect other schools the way it would've hurt us.

Landing Carter could've anchored our 2015 recruiting. Eventually we're going to go head to head with Kentucky, or the like, for Briscoe. We need to have some bullets in our gun for that.
