I just saw a line that sju is 2.5 point underdogs on Thursday. Wow! Beat a team by an average of double figures in two games and basically playing a home game and still underdogs.

Losing the last game by almost 40 PTs might have something to do with that line.

I'm seeing -2.5 for SJU, up from -1.5.

I think you read that wrong, SJU is favored by 2 1/2.

If not, Phil should sign up for the college dunk contest!

I now see the -2.5 as well.  For some reason my ESPN GO app had Prov Favored.

I have a feeling Obekpa is gonna be a 'go,' but not sure with Branch.  I believe Lavin is trying to play with Cooley's head.

huh?

Oh let me guess   Joe3 did something over there, and you think I'm him.
Well why don't you ask Dave since he sent him that medium sized shirt where he lives, his neighborhood.
During pre B.E. play I told Loughlin that I'm in woodside.

But knowing you, you'll probably say that I would have tooken the train to woodside so it looks like i live there if he would have picked me up to take me to carnesecca or that I have 2 addresses.
Anyway it doesn't really bother. I just laugh.

I bitch about Lavin so automatically I'm Joe3 lol so be it then.  That's a ploy to shut me up.

if obekpa's feeling ok enough to play, I think he should play thursday, the providence game is important for seeding.  if he's sore on friday he can sit for nova, we'll get blown out, seeding wont be effected, and he'll have another week to rest before the ncaa tourney starts up.

I am confident that we win. Don't think we cover.
So that means if you were to bet you would bet on Providence because you think we win by one or two points. But if someone whats to bet on Prov with that small of a point spread you should be they will win outright because too slim a margin thinking Johnnies to win but not cover. What I'm saying is my advice to you is don't touch this game.

@mullin85berry86 (http://johnnyjungle.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=6569) opinion on Obekpa missing is fair. The post defense was awful without him against Nova.

@mjdinkins (http://johnnyjungle.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=131) to my knowledge Mullin isn't joe/liny. No reason to witch hunt posters and get things off topic.

The Dailynews has GT Winning the BET and the Post has Nova. Nova should be favored but if SJU can stay healthy and play like they have been playing I think they have a shot against Nova. Game one the team was in the middle of there free fall, Jordan was a no show, Pointer wasnt who he is now, and the team ran out of gas around the mid point of the second half.

The second game Branch and CO didn't play and the game wasn't a make or break for SJU.

If we get past the Friars, I think the Nova game will be very much like the BET 11 game with Cuse and SJU slugging it out. This is the seniors last chance to beat them most likely (unless a miracle happens) and give SJU a legitame chance for a BET championship and a great seed.

hoping providence gives us a good game tonight.  It will be a little hard to get too into it after yesterday. It will interesting to watch smith and stainbrook bang.  Georgetown doesn't excite me at all though and xaviers guard play is bad.  I was really hoping to see nova against butler in the final.

A couple of fun games at the garden tonight. I was sitting right near nova's basket, that last call was totally bullshit. Kind of a lame way to decide a game.

Slight bump on way to hoop for layup, thought call could have gone either way as in no call. They protect the shooter in NBA way more and it would have been called in NBA college not so much.

Was at the game last night. Providence fans were furious with the call. I thought a few brawls would start. Not that much energy in the building for a big east semi. I enjoyed watching georgetown lose. Even though I missed the last few minutes, had to make the train.

Very good second year for the big east. After last seasons struggles this is a great way to pop back up. We have multipe teams capable of winning a few games in the tournament. Success is March is what brings in the money and recruits to conferences. Here's hoping we continue this great season the conference has had.
