Just got an email. Frattos last day at SJU is June 30. You are liberated SJUBB Twitter!
-
Looks like Phil Jackson is really cleaning house! Is this one of the front office guys Dolan went to bat for?
-
what a shame...
-
I was just told Baldi is on short list to replace Mr. Fratto.

In the brief contacts I've had with Fratto, he's been a thin-skinned jerk. Good riddance.
-
some of his tweets were really good. it's just that the other 300,000 were kind of overkill.
-
When I met him (in United States and in Spain) he was very kind to me.
And he sent me many basketball publications.
I wish him good luck.

Tired of coordinating spray tans for monasch?

I work with college SID's and pro PR people almost every day in my job and some of these guys are maniacs and can be real jaded jerks. You guys can rag on Fratto but he was a good ambassador for the university, not to mention during some very tough times. He was held in high regard in the circle and is a good guy.
Good luck Mark.

The mission of SID's and PR people is to sell the product. St John's is a tough sell, but I can't say Fratto did a great job.
-
fratto was cool as hell. trust me guys

I'm not a big Fratto fan myself, worked pretty closely with him for a while a couple years back and found him pretty difficult and unaccommodating. Think that branding has been one of our biggest problems in recent years and needs to be addressed.
-
Accepted school buyout (which has been offered to a lot of people because of $$$) and looking to expand his own ventures. He was a decent guy, ahead of the curve on many things.

The Twitter guy can't fix 20+ years of terrible branding. Like it or not, Twitter was one of the only active and consistent parts of the program. The team wins and everyone associated with it will seem a lot better at their job. Fratto can't make people care if the team fails.

What happened, tuition isn't high enough to avert $$$ problems?
It's not a good sign to have cutbacks in the athletic department when the school has a new league to sell.
