Hassan Martin - PF - Curtis - Staten Island, NY

Starting a thread for him because the staff should and will recruit this kid very soon. 6'8 kid from Curtis on Staten Island who rebounds and dunks everything near him.  He got hurt this year which explains why he isn't a bigger name yet.. Expect in the coming weeks for him to be a hot name on the recruiting trail.  Next year I think he will be the best player in the city.  Playing for New Heights this summer.

He's definitely underrated but have u seen him yet after the injury? Def agree though. Toss up between him and rector

Zach Brazille of Post referenced him recently, noting Rhode Island and Iowa State interest. Sounds like a comer.

I haven't since the injury.. But I will see him this summer again.  Kid is tough and he is a monster athlete.  Expect Pitt to offer soon.

How tall is he exactly? Is he a legit 6'8 because i've read articles mentioning him at 6'6.

I understand the need to recruit beyond metro area, but this is the type kid we should pay attention to.
