RT @QSTJHoops: The Grizzlies have waived DJ Kennedy, per the team's Twitter account. Tough break for the #stjbb alum.

How far can you be from making the team if you are cut before training camp? Seems strange considering he finished last season on an NBA active roster and was actually seeing PT.

Gotta think another team will give DJ an opportunity at some point this year (I hope  :-\ ).

Kind of strange right before training camp but probably Grizz had a greater need for the 3 man taxi squad. Better now than in training camp. He is a versatile player and is probably the best suited for the NBA more than any other player we had on the 10-11 roster with the exception of Justin Burrell.  His knee appears sound.

Definitely weird since they traded a player and a pick for him. I'm sure he'll get a shot somewhere.

That deal must have been some sort of cap cutting measure.  Like, "If we give you a draft pick can we send you Pargo and the money to pay him just to get him off our payroll?"  If not the deal made no sense when it was made and even less now.

Nice recognition, but his write up is not encouraging for playing in the NBA.

Very aprapo that this thread was started by someone with the screen name Coffey as it appears that is the link DJ has with the NBA.

Too confusing that 2 of the top 6 are named Chris Wright.  5 of the top 10 are BE.
