The way I see it is, here's 1 less team other conference fans can make fun of if he turns out to be good. Don't get me wrong, we should be way better than SH, but it would be nice to see them as a bubble team to show how deep our conference is. The only team that is the clear red-haired step sister is DePaul. Even with very good players they couldn't get it done. Melvin, Young, and Crockett are all good players. Not totally sure but I think they picked up a good recruit recently forget the name. Anyway, I think it's funny when people try to make the case that the AAC is just as good as the Big East. It's only a matter of time until UConn and Cincy find major conference homes...they have too much to offer not to. Even with UConn, Cincy, Memphis, Temple, the Big East easily wins out. Those teams are easily matched (and exceeded) immediately with G'Town, Nova, Marquette, Butler. Plus, we have St. John's and Providence teams teeming with talent after 17 and 18 win years respectively both as bubble teams. Add Creighton and Xavier and it's really no contest.
