I can't speak on knowing anything about Chandler but 5 years of hs and not knowing if he is qualified at this point is very scary on his part. I was always under the impression using a fifth year of hs, excluding athletic reasons, was to identify what needed to be done academically and focus on that. Does anyone know if it's test scores or something else grade related? Test scores I can see taking longer because some people just don't excell at that stuff but we are in April and if it's grades than that's not good. I am sure Lavin and company have a good inkling as to what is going on but would hate to see kid not qualify and us not have any other bigs on board starting school in September.
I can see how some posters see the "IF" as a big negative because with the kids we have coming back and the ones who are coming in, to take a step back again cause of qualifying issues would be disheartening.
I am convinced these types of issues will be long gone with smaller recruiting classes but this is a big year for team as any positive media buzz and a nothing short of a NCAA tourney team can really set us up for monster years recruiting for years to come.
