Would be surprised if he leaves west coast

I couldn't be more confident that he's ours if we want him.

Do tell. Based on ????

His mother also went to SJU and is a Queens native. I could see him him joining the program, but also think the West wins out. Still along way to go and the offers will keep coming in.

He was at the SJU ASU game with his dad and Mark Jackson

There was an interesting rumor floating around twitter yesterday that Jeron was thinking of re classing to 2019 and coming to St. John's. It was unclear if this was pre or post Mullin decision as the original tweet said he "considered" re classing and committing to SJU. The rumor appears to have originated from an account called SPORTSTOP100! that claims to be a national scout and has 1200 followers.
Take it for what its worth.

I like his game, and I see some of his dad's aggressiveness. We could use an Artest.

Pre-Mullin I can tell you he was our's if we wanted him. My gut -- which is growing by the day -- tells me it's still probably true. He's 6'4 now and looks a lot more like his dad than his older brother. We could definitely use him next year.

Good to know. Thanks for the insight marillac.
You can see a lot of his dads game in jeron's highlight videos. There's a great full game highlight on youtube of jeron locking down lamelo ball.
Also, the kid is apparently insanely smart. 4.0 gpa, 1450 on the sats and has been computer coding since the age of 10.

Hes not really recruited by majors. Dont know much about him.

His Dad was an animal. Played like there was no tomorrow. Even if Jeron has his Dad’s build, I can’t imagine him having his mentality on the court, but I have never seen Jeron play.

Some outstanding schools on that list...so what if there's no Duke or North Carolina. Beg him to come.

Artest loves St. John's on a level Mullin never seemed to. He argued with teammates in the NBA that we would beat their alma maters, he sold us up when we had good teams, he's visited often, he wanted both of his sons to come here, and he is secretly very charitable. He's the face of the program to many of us who were too young to experience Mullin and Sealy.

I would totally welcome him...but hard to compete with Stanforf and Princeton academically. Kid is gifted.
