VMI beat kentucky and dropped 113 on them.
I'm saying, Syl's debut is only one (fast-paced) game.  In the Kentucky game, Jodie Meeks doubled his previous career high.  He's not twice as good as he was last year.  And I don't know what Gillispie does early season in with his Kentucky squad, Gardner-Webb and now this?  Just strange losses.  It's a good game and a win for Virginia, but take it with a grain of salt.

at this point i would take a grain of salt for this program. when was the last time a freshman scored 28 points in any game for SJU?

::) :-\ :'(

When was the last time ANYONE scored 28 points?!  Actually... no, really, besides Mase last year, when was the last time a player put up 28, 30, or so points?  I can't remember.  Was it Hill?  Or do we have to go back to Hatten?

Apparently, Lamont Hamilton vs. Columbia in '06-'07.  So I am entirely wrong.  The last few years have been a low-scoring haze for this observer.

Well they only beat USF by two at home.  I'm guessing that means they don't have many other options.   :D

I'm guessing that means we're a better team than Virginia.
Before we sweat Landesberg for dropping 21 on USF, remember that our freshman blew them out of the building last year.

Jesus plays for USF?? How many did he drop? The Big East is screwed if the Almighty starts playing in sneakers instead of Birkenstocks.
