Foul shooting....... Uggg

If we are going to go on a roll in the conference, we are going to have to improve our foul shooting. Even in our last game, foul shots missed by Obekpa and Pointer in the last minute or so almost cost us the game.  We are currently ranked 306 among D 1 teams in the foul shooting department.

Very true, everyone except Dee and Felix (not too many attempts) are shooting less than 70% from the line

You can get by with 1-2 guys shooting less than 70% from the stripe but not 8 guys. Hopefully Branch, Greene, and Jakarr can improve those numbers and Garrett and Pointer at least get into the mid 60% range.

Obekpa is at 29%, no one should shoot less than 50%.

I think if we got to the line more it would help. But, the only one who gets to the line consistently is Harrison.

Well he has the ball in his hands like 2/3 of the time.

He's also better at drawing them.

It would also help if the refs would call a few as well...

Kids today also need to realize that shooting free throws underhand does not make you less than a man if you cannot shoot a free throw into the ocean from a pier overhand.

I personally think it's a lot more embarrassing to let your team down in the clutch with essentially a gimme shot if you have that much basketball talent.

Jakarr, Sir Dom & Amir get to the line well enough.
Only Greene ( & to a smaller extent Chris O) is not getting there enough

This thread is so appopriate. WE would be 3-0 if we could shoot descent FTs. And although CO had a good game, he should be shooting a hundred FTs a day.

the free throw situation is a complete disgrace.

you'd think these players would have more pride.
