Is year 3 a success if they only make the NIT as predicated? Would year 4 be the crucial year? Would the NIT make Coach Mullin's seat a lttile warm?

It wouldn't be a success or failure. That is a reasonable achievement year three, but it would make year four much more important.

We're down six or seven players and we add three we know little about.  That's the upswing?

Mullin's seat will never be warm.

The Marcus and Shamorie show is going to be worth the price of admission and then some. Can't wait to watch them play off each other this year, should gel very quick.

nit is not a success, need to improve on lavin's 2 ncaas in 5 years. in order to do that they must make the tourney this year.

Isn't the idea to build a steady, consistent program where we make the tournament every year?  It's ok if we improve by 5 wins this year and make the NIT as long as the program is being set up for long term success beyond this season. Lavin cut corners and there was far too much volatility in those 5 years despite 2 tourney bids. Before we can be Villanova, we need to be Providence. That takes time.

I don't care how they get there, success is playing in the tournament. If "cutting corners" gets us there then cut away. Volatility is preferable to consistent suckage.

Recruits wil look at the NIT as a failure.
