Ed Kelly, a member of the Class of 1976, and one of the really good guys of all time, just celebrated his 30th year as a golf professional at Cherry Valley. NEWSDAY recognized his accomplishment with a story on Thursday, May 5 on page A57.
Fellow grads Jim O'Connell, the dean of basketball writers at the AP as well as Frank Darby (Ed's teammate on the St. John's golf team and now the St. John's head golf coach) were there to honor Ed.
