We had the best run over 1-2 months I had seen since Jarvis in the beginning. Norm's best was 2 games in a row

Yoou dont think Lavin stepped into a great situation?  Some coaches would love walking into a senior laden team with schollies to give and bring in their own guys. Hell he got rid of Omari,lost Polee and asked Stith to go. This mess could have been diverted

The group was undisciplined on the court.
They couldnt close out games.
They couldnt compete on the road.
They were all put in the wrong roles.
Quite frank, it was a miracle job coachin them to that much success last year.

Im wrong? You had team full of seniors, even Pitino picked them top of the conference. I guess you guys are right , our guys sucked. It was all on the coach

Kids won crap before Lavin got there and we weren't playing well up to the Fordham debacle. Kids were built into winners.

Oh I forgot. No way Norm wins at Nova last year either.

Our players didn't suck but never had success. Lavin installed a winning attitude in them and changed the game plan which actually gave them a chance to win. He did not walk into a good situation nor did he walk into an awful one. But he did as good a job as possible last year taking a previously 6 win team into a ranked top tier big east team. How he wasn't big east coach of the year is beyond me

Miracles? Hardy was a great player lets not get it twisted. Its not miracles when you do it all season. And we did get waxed, we played poorly that game. It happen thats not on the coaching though, Gonzaga just beat us

1. Chiles was in Florida and its not uncommon practice for assistants to be on the road in December and miss games.
2. Lay off Baldi. He's excited about Iona and rightfully so. They're awesome this year and he's always posted about them and St. John's its just people are finally paying attention to it.
3. ACC is definitely becoming a superior conference with addition of Cuse and Pitt. That's a fact. So what?
4. Gathers is going to sign late in the spring. St. John's is more in the mix than any other school. What happened to everyone's confidence lately? Relax.

ACC is becoming a stronger conference, yes.....but your former universal mod Baldi is predicting conference power rankings for 2013-14.... which is the first season Pitt and Cuse will play in the ACC. They may be stronger and they may not be depending on who is coaching and playing by then.  My money is Boeheim will not coach a day in the ACC. There is no guarantee Pitt will be a super-power in 2014.......heck, they are nationally ranked now and lost to Wagner at home tonight with the Wagner guards outplaying their Pitt counterparts.
