around 1:30 today in dorms. Three guys with guns break in and hold up some students studying for finals. Gun went off and cops caught the threesome shortly thereafter outside the campus with 3 guns (thank you DiBlasio for letting guns become rampant in the City again). Stupid to think students would have money.

I hate De Blasio, but this is a hard one to pin on him. Thank God no one was hurt. If my kid was dorming there now, I would not be too happy about it.

“My 17-year-old sister can’t get in my building past 3:30 p.m. but three gunmen got in some how??????” asked one poster, who would only identify herself as Laura. “Ok St. John’s.”
“I always said St. John’s open campus is not safe at all,” added another poster. “Hopefully you finally take this serious and do something about it.”

You can't get into a basketball without walking through a metal detector first, but I guess the dorms are fair game. Anyone still think St.John's is just being cautious in a post 9/11 America?

Any law that restricts law abiding citizens from owning fire arms ONLY effects law abiding citizens. Criminals will ALWAYS have access to fire arms. Hence the term criminal.
