I really really dislike just sitting on the ball in the half court with 7 minutes left still. Keep running the offense the way you've been running it all night. They can't stop it

Ditto!  If it was in the last 2 or 3 minutes, then I'd understand.  7 minutes is too soon.  Now, we look outta sync.

Agreed, be selective but Don't slow it down, quickness neutralized.  Best game since Syracuse

42-16 points in the paint.....  Advantage, Johnnies.

This was done against a bigger team.

Just for reference

Penn State basketball had a ken Pom rating of 97 last year ( blew out St. John’s by 25 on our home court)

Nebraska basketball rating is 98 ( got blown out at St. John’s)

That’s progress!!

What happened to Copeland? I thought he was the next Otto Porter at Georgetown.

It's nice having multiple scoring options.   Haven't had that in awhile.

He was, at one point, a decent 3-point shooter.  It seemed like it started failing him prior to leaving Georgetown.  I don't believe he's hit one trey, this season.

You have to call it how it is... Ahmed was super under control - and was a real net positive.  If he's like that every game, it puts a lot of pressure on other teams, with the scoring options we have.

If we have swarming / quick-handed defense that we have tonight...against all teams; then we got a real shot this season.

The team was really fired up on the defensive side of the ball.  Keep it up boys.

I honestly thought that was a garbage first half.  Should have had at least 45 points.  That first half d however was SOLID. With that said, its amazing the way we used to take dozens of bad shots a game, and now we only have 1 player (Bashir Ahmed) who takes uncontrolled shots.  This backcourt is beyond special...this whole team is special.  Yeah Nebraska is whatever in the big 10.  But our biggest issue was our height.  They had height.

Who'd of thunk this these guys were going to throw a block party tonight?  Glad we were all invited  8) 8) 8)

Excellent game. Much better D and rebounding. Yakwe had a better game. Played w energy and rebounded. We need contributions from him, especially w the rate that Owens and Clark foul Owens had a very nice game. Ponds is Ponds. We all know he can score, but he is a hell of a rebounder for his size. Simon also is an excellent rebounder. Bash also had a good game. Looks like we are going to play  primarily 7 players.  We looked good. But agree we tried to milk clock too early in the game. Loose momentum and I’ve seen that strategy backfire many times allowing the opposing team to get back in the game.

Simon with 23 rebounds and two assists the last two games. Are you ready to admit he's a SF and not a PG?

Great game atmosphere, did a real good job on D and rebounding, played with intensity. Only negatives were foul shooting, committing too many fouls, and sometimes a little too much French pastry when the simple play probably better off. hope there are many more games like last night. team needs to stay grounded as comp will only get better.
