No UConn, but some sharks.

Some sharks, but I can deal with bullheaded sharks instead of tiger and great white sharks in UK, Duke, UNC and Kansas.
Be wary.
Pastner, Donovan, and a desperate Lowe (who was able to beat out even Teflon Cal for Leslie) or Cronin can be dangerous

Do not get me wrong, as I know Pastner, Donovan and even, Miller (Arizona) can be quite dangerous.  But, I also think Lavin is very dangerous in his own right.

We all know UK, Duke, UNC and Kansas are usually the more dangerious species.  Nevertheless, I feel Lavin and staff can hang with the big dogs.  We're eventually gonna have to win a recruiting battle with some of the nation's elite and why not start with the 2011 class.   ;)
Yeah, no offense to Louie or even Fran, but I think St. John's has managed to get the most dangerous pit bull (switching species-lol) they've had in 50 years.

You're right, Sleaveless One.  I really enjoyed those two (Louie and Fran) and thought Fran had us back on the right path, as he was cleaning up on blue-chippers in the northeast.  Granted, Lavin has yet to land a top 25 player, as we're all salivating to occur....  There is a positive aura being associated with the program.

Not only are we, as fans seeing it....  The recruits are also seeing it, as many of these kids seem very interested in being part of the St. John's basketball program.  It's a refreshing feeling, to say the least.

How about this particular canine, Sleaveless One?

I was told the other day that Mo has been doing more on his own in terms of recruitment process and distancing himself from advisors. Apparently this info seems to be true if you read Nate Blue's twitter lately

Also, unofficial visit September 2nd.  Official to Maryland on Sept 17th.  Both via Harkless' twitter.

On a side note, I was somewhat surprised that Real Scout had never even heard of Norm Powell.

I have no idea, but at real college basketball programs that wouldnt matter. Where does St Johns fit in? I guess they cant take recruits to ESPN Zone anymore

Well ummm STJ is a commuter school for starters, always has been always will.  For the 3k kids on campus thats a fraction of the population.  I'm willing to bet a kid visiting Kentucky, Duke, UNC or anyplace else with school not in session will have the same impact.  If you want to debate student turnout during school I have no leg to stand on there.  When chanting for Tyler Jones is the best example of student involvement things are bad no question.

Now instead of ESPNZone maybe he can visit Idiots on North Ave and see all the bars down the street.....oh wait.  They closed about a decade ago and there is pretty much one place standing on North Ave all the way across town :)

Yes, school will be in session on the 2nd.

And the campus is beautiful that time of the year, and the first few weeks the student life is poppin' and the girls are wearing barely anything.

I like the unofficial visit for then.  ;)
