G Cezar Guerrero (Belmont Shore, 2011) Guerrero had a platform to show the coaches in attendance that he could run a team and he did little to disappoint in Belmont Shore’s win over California Supreme. Guerrero’s speed was a known commodity well before Thursday night’s tilt, and it gave Supreme problems throughout the contest. He knocked down a few jumpers as well and as a result of his play may have some new suitors if he can continue the solid play this week. The key for Guerrero: continue to answer the question of whether or not he can run a team in the affirmative.

Cezar Guerrero has really come a long way with his game in the past year. He's always been speedy, but he's learned to control that speed and is making much better decisions. He's an offensive minded guy, but he gets others involved and is one of the best pull-up jump shooters in the country. Belmont Shore plays high octane ball and he's able to keep them running.

Cezar Guerrero (Belmont Shores, 2011)- Once considered a right hand dominant gunner, Guerrero has significantly improved the weaker areas of his game. He is making plays going left, distributing the basketball to teammates and overall playing a much more mature floor game.

Surprisingly only Colorado has offered this talented lead guard. UNLV, Auburn, St. John's, Oklahoma, Oregon, Oregon State, Long Beach State and UCLA are showing interest.

Cezar Guerrero (Los Angeles/ St. John Bosco)
2011, PG, 6-2

This high-energy, very confident point guard on Team Latin America was much better since we last saw him in May. Guerrero is a scoring point who can also get his teammates shots with his ability to penetrate, drive, draw and kick. He's a score-first player although he possesses excellent passing skills with matching court vision. Guerrero can finish on the break by getting to the rim with a good burst of speed or stop and pop for the mid-range jumper. In the half court, he runs the offense and can make a scoring play at end-of-clock situations. Guerrero plays with swagger and competes on both ends to get the job done. He finished with 17 points, eight rebounds and four assists with very little playing time in the second half in a blowout win over Team Asia.

Cezar Guerrero likes St. Johns, UCLA, UNLV, Western Kentucky, Oklahoma and Colorado.

Cesar Guerrero, PG- Playing for Latin America, Guerrero has had a terrific event. He's a very clever scorer, quick with the ball and is playing the most under control basketball of his young life. The kid is pretty banged up at this point but he keeps bringing it on every possession.

One odd recruitment.  He's ranked 61 and has a bunch of mid majors offering him.  Hate not seeing our name in that article.  Love what this kid brings to the table.  From the second I saw him I ranked him right behind Cook and my PG wish list.

There must be something up whether its grades or some type of eligibility issues.

I don't get it either.  Didn't he miss an entire season?  That would figure in.  I wonder if it has anything to do with his race?  It's not exactly like the NCAA is bustling with Mexican-American pg's.  I loved what I saw as soon as I watched his first video.  My only question was if he had the body, because he looks like a little boy.

St. John Bosco (California) point guard Cezar Guerrero – a Western Kentucky recruit – told me this afternoon that he’s made up his mind about where he wants to play college basketball next season.

He’s just not ready to announce that destination yet.

Guerrero said he wants to have one more discussion about the situation with his brother later today, and from there, will decide what to do.

Guerrero – a four-star point guard and Rivals.com’s 61st ranked prospect for 2011 – made an official visit to Western Kentucky during the weekend of Sept. 17 (WKU’s home football game against Indiana).

Following his WKU visit, he said  that he wanted to take a visit to UNLV on Oct. 15 and then another to Oklahoma on Oct. 29. He declined to clarify this afternoon if any of those visits have been canceled.

When Guerrero is ready to announce his decision, we’ll have more on this.
When you're a kid from New York and you do it in New York, that lasts forever!

Hearing from the recruitniks on Twitter rumors of Guerrero's decommitment.  Didn't sign in the early period and may be opening it up.

Peter, do you think we'd add another point guard?

I have no idea. Honestly, I hope not.  I'd WANT to see one more big man (God's Gift) rather than a PG who will probably be moved aside when Jevon Thomas comes in (and who won't play b/c of Nuri and D'Angelo and Stith).

Transferring from OSU to be closer to home:

Wants to be closer to home with his ailing mom.  SDSU likes transfers, just throwing them out there.
