good to hear... just don't like to see espn hating on our recruits (i guess one out of five aint bad haha)

Have to remember ESPN Recruiting is still a work in progress. At one point they had John Wall as the 4th best senior. They just hired Dave Telep from Scout and he should provide a lot more credibility and accuracy to ESPN.

FWIW so did Scout and Bob Gibbons in their final rankings.  http://www.rscihoops.com/

Evan Daniels (Scout.com) has a charting blog of signings on today. Here's a 'lil blurb on Lindsey per Scout.com (Evan Daniels). Check out his last sentence....

2:43: It's been well documented that we think Steve Lavin has done a terrific job. One recruit that has been overshadowed at times is Junior College standout Nurideen Lindsey. Two sources even said that he is likely Lavin's best pick up. (ED)

If that statement about Nurideen turns out to be true then this Lavin squad as Soph and Jrs should be down right sick.

I apologize if this had already been discussed, didn't feel like going through the entire thread.
Anyone know exactly how tall Nuri is? I've seen him listed everywhere between 5'11 and 6'4.  I've always loved pgs (assuming he's gonna play the point until Javon gets here) with height if he is, indeed, 6'2 6'3 6'4.

He's listed as 6'3 on the JC website.  Subtract 2" from the program listing to get the accurate size?

I actually asked the same question to both Mark Fratto and Derrick Wrobel (together) and they both concluded that he was absolutely "either 6'3 or 6'4 for sure"

Thanks.  Gotta love the idea of a tall point running and gunning, in Lav's new high paced offense, with all those superb athletes flying around the court.

Hahahaha his shooting mechanics are awful.  I'd love to see some game footage on this kid, because he gets about three inches of lift on his jumpers, leaves his right foot way too far out in front of him, has his toes pointed outwards on many of the shots I saw, flicks his wrist on his FT"s, and has a tendancy to fade away.

Some guys can just make that stuff work, though.  According to his statistics...Nuri might be one of those guys you just leave as is.

As qcredman pointed out on redmen.com after the coaches' reception, Nuri is already being followed by NBA scouts etc... This is from John Rothstein's twitter page last night (courtesy TRabinowitz)

An #NBA GM told me that @stj_basketball commit Nurideen Lindsey has Steve Francis type ability - could be most underrated recruit in class
