didnt see this coming there was never any indication that he was in ka-hoots with these guys. plus they dont even have a relevant program next year!!??!!

Guess he sees sure fire PT up there.
and not here?

Not with the other big man looming.
and with the NCAA turning up the heat on these ineligible guys whats the reality of chandler being cleared if its such a mystery still this late in the game?

Not happy. If MC doesnt qualify ,we are still w/o our elusive Center. Scholis are getting thin. Would rather save it for next year where we are targeting some really good bigs, then just use one on a mediocre big. Fortunately we got Sanchez.

Tells you what we don't know. this came out of he blue. UConn just had a visit cancelled by a big, rumored to Georgetown. Give them credit, despite all the negatives lately, they pulled this off.

This is a stunner.  I did not even know UCONN was recruiting him let alone the exodus of players from the program, the uncertainty of Calhoun and the lack of post season.  Odd but God Bless him.

I heard we could know something about Chandler very soon and perhaps Nolan knew something already...

Well, if he liked NYC, he will love STORRS!!!!   IN LAVIN WE TRUST!
Maybe the kid was never offered.  If Lavin has offers out to Chandler and Obekpa, maybe Phil was told we couldn't commit until we heard from these two.  TRUST LAVIN!

A really surprising decision and out of left field. Due to his height alone, he would have seen serious minutes and an increased role once Gift leaves next year. Echoing what's been said above, he must have caught wind of Chris O, Chandler or Raffington fitting into that picture instead...

LOL!!   I knew someone was going to make that remark.  Only appropriate that you, "Happy", did it.

Rediculous if Raffington is a primary consideration. Kid can't play. Hold the scholly rather than give him one IMO.

He's not plus he is a transfer and is not going to play next year.  Definitely not a priority over Nolan and most certainly not over Chandler or Obekpa for that matter.

I know UCONN's program is in trouble, but can't fault a young big guy for wanting to go there, given Calhoun's success with developing guys at that position, some who do not have the 5-star, can't miss, HS pedigree.  Good luck to Phil and on to the next...

Damn where do we go from here? If Chandler doesn't qualify we're pretty much screwed.
