@drewruiz90: Shamorie Ponds is nice in pick-and-roll situations and slices through the defense. Can also shoot from 3.#PangosAACamp

*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

Potential top 50 recruit.  I'd really like to see him play in an all-star game against the best of the best.
He'd look really good next to Lovett.

Shamorie Ponds, PG, Brooklyn (N.Y.) Thomas Jefferson: Playing for the New York Lightning, the 6-footer was one of the most exciting point guards in the entire Nike EYBL. A scorer at heart, Ponds has some Russ Smith in him because of his willingness to fire away from deep, quickness and fearlessness when attacking the paint. He is also a very good on-the-ball defender.

Not worried about his height as some others seem to be. Like his talent and would be very happy to add him to our roster.

Being from New York, Ponds also noted that St. John’s coach Chris Mullin had made it a priority to recruit him.

“He’s a cool guy,” said Ponds. “He’s usually hands on and will talk to you every now and then.”

Going into the July live period, Ponds plans to take his time.

“I kind of want to add more offers and then I want to cut my list down,” said Ponds. “Probably my senior year, middle of my senior year I’ll decide.”

That doesn't sound like a guy who is happy with the offers he already has. I know some on the board  don't want him but it sounds like the feeling is mutual. Does anyone Know the last lighting player we signed since Cross left our staff?  The Dominican brothers?  Maybe?

Attack basketball, pressure defense, 40 minutes of hell ... Early on it might be 30 minutes of hell, then 10 minutes of what the hell are you doing?"
