Outside of the BE, who are the 2 NY area teams to beat STJ in consecutive seasons in the post Lou Carnesecca era?

Hofstra, manhattan

Correct!
Sadly I was at these games. 'My freinds went to Ohio state and my brother went to Florida. What was I thinking

The Manhattan games were easier to take. Those Bobby Gonzakez coached Jasper teams were very good. Hofstra basically had the benefit of playing against Norm Roberts. It was too easy.

Those Hofstra teams were pretty good, too.  Agudio, Stokes and Jenkins were as good or better than anyone we had in that era.

That's true. At first, under Tom Pecora, Hofstra was terrific. They were absolutely robbed in the 2005-2006 tournament after beating GMU, a FF team twice. Agudio, Stoked and Rivera played together, and they strong rebounding big man with a huge fro. Had Monte really hit the weight room that previous summer, he would have dominated that game, but nope.

Losing those games sucked. But they were fun hard fought games.
