Kyle Randall - PG - Kennedy Catholic HS - Hermitage, PA

October, 2008: Randall is a true scoring point guard who led the entire state of Pennsylvania in scoring as a junior (26.5 ppg). He possesses excellent speed and quickness for the one position. His mid-range game is his best attribute as he can pull up and consistently knock down jumpers or take the ball to the rim. Kyle can get in the lane against anyone with his speed. He can also kick the ball to open teammates if he needs to. He can shoot the three but he is most comfortable attacking off the dribble. He compares to 2009 guard Tim Frazier (Houston/Strake Jesuit/Committed to Penn State) but is a better shooter. Some Big East teams are starting to sniff around.

Notes
AAU Team: Ohio Basketball Club...Leading scorer in state of Pennsylvania as a junior (26.5 ppg)...Became all-time leading scorer at Kennedy Catholic...

Considering: Harvard, St.Johns, Rice, Wyoming, UNC Greensboro

Is the staff preparing for a transfer?  Or just making sure they're covering their bases?

Well so far Roberts & DJ & Sean look like players & they are from PA I would not mind a true PG but I would rather a post player
Attack basketball, pressure defense, 40 minutes of hell ... Early on it might be 30 minutes of hell, then 10 minutes of what the hell are you doing?"

Knowing this staff probably a little of both.  I wouldnt be suprised in the least to see a couple transfers after this season and maybe the staff has actually learned they need to constantly recruit and not put all their eggs in one basket.  Which ever happens hopefully we will see an influx of more talent next year.

We need a POINT Guard, not another combo guard.

I don't care if he's averaging 25ppg.
We need a 2nd pure PG.

Quincy & Ty might eventually be ok, but even a freshman
pure pg should have handled the presses better.

A combo should be the 3rd pg not 2nd. If he can play
the point at the BE level, then trust the staff' judgement.

Did they change the rules or are scholarships still awarded on an annual basis?
