Yeah. Marquette got a stud forward from there this year and Dwight Bucyks, Hardy's teammate back when.

Have known this kid personally for a long time now. J-wash is the only person that can stop J-wash. Kid is an absolute beast. And mind you he does all of this with no practice, no working on his game and is in the worst possible shape you can be in. If he gets it all together... Scary.

On Saturday, New Heights 17U (NY) won a war, 57-50, versus the New Orleans Elite and their stud Craig Victor which advanced them to the Elite 8 of the Adidas 64 in Vegas.

Up for the battle against Victor inside was Jordan Washington who had 25 points and 14 rebounds.

While Washington held down the fort in the paint, New Heights PG Desure Buie changed the game in the second half. "[It] was a tremendous performance by the young kid," said head coach Joel Shapiro of Buie.

New Heights 17s would then move even closer to the ultimate prize, making it to the final four with a 74-67 win over Indiana Elite. The 17U squad is now 7-0 at the Las Vega event. Paul Jorgensen scored a team high 26 points with Washington adding 25 points. - See more at: http://nychoops.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1529388#sthash.vlsXu2AM.dpuf

He is also going to turn 20 next month. He should be a beast playing 17U.

Always heard rumblings about his age.  How is he allowed to play then?

AAU has turned into more of what graduating class you're in not so much age. Unwritten rule

True Dave, but these days who's really honestly 17 playing 17U, the reclass game has taken over. As long as your grade matches nobody is interested in your age.

He was born too late, and in the wrong sport. That description makes him sound like a baseball player from the '70s.

His hair could rival Oscar Gamble.  Before my time but even I know epic hair when I see it.

Most are 17, some are 18, practically no one is 20

I remember watching him at IS8 last year and he dominated all weekend. Funny thing was, the last day these guys already played 2 games by the time they were in the championship and everyone on both teams was sucking wind except him. Put the team on his back and had about 35 points and 20+ rebounds, won't forget that performance any time soon. Hope this guy can get it together

Super talented player. If he has actually gotten his act together and is willing to do what it takes to drop a few pounds I wouldn't be against taking a shot on him

Desperation for big men made me google him the other day out of the blue. I know he had a huge game recently -- 28 points. (That may be in your link -- haven't clicked it yet.)

Super talented is very kind of you to say. I wouldn't go that far.

I still want this kid to suit up on offensive line. That is his meal ticket.
