@SprungOnSports: After a meeting last week with Chris Mullin, Chris Obekpa will return to #sjubb for his senior season, a source tells @sheridanhoops
-
@AdamZagoria: Nothing definite on Chris Obekpa or Rysheed Jordan coming back to St. John's, source tells @SNYtv."Still sorting through it" More this week
-
I think both come back...the dominoes are falling our way.
-
If CO is okay with with coach Mullin Im not going to argue.

You ment if Mullin is okay with CO right?

@NYPost_Brazille: Chris Obekpa will return to St. John's, per source. #sjubb

Very good for us and for him. He needs to turn up his game to earn some dollars doing this. SJU getting the best shot blocker in the country back is helpful to say the least. Now a few more pieces to fall into place and we will field a competitive team.

Good

Basically Mullin's first commit.

Not to be outdone...

Chris Obekpa will return to St. John's, source confirms to @SNYtv. Big key for Chris Mullin to have a shot-blocker, but must get w/ program
BTW-This is Obekpa's second return already. Last year he "returned" when he first announced he would explore a transfer

Obekpa just needs to stay focused. Perhaps D'Angelo can talk to him about getting his attitude in check.

yes, awkward phrasing, my bad
-
This is very significant for the upcoming team. Obekpa does not play smart. They are gonna teach him the game and he will be great on D and more passable in other areas. Jordan has been able to set him up well and since he will presumably have the ball a lot, He could be a dunking machine. They also will have to teach him how to dunk though. LOL.

Eric Jacklitsch is CO's former AC at OSNA. This sounds odd.

Agree

CO brings a lot a drama - come on bro' your career is going "Up in Smoke"
-
I'm fine either way. Maybe it's time to clean house
-
I agree with baldi. If he is motivated and ready to go great. However, if this is going to be drama then I pass. Next year was going to be a shitshow with Lavin so we have a year to set things straight. Jordan same story. No more bs and can hopefully look forward to professional program without the nonsense. Sign Sampson and start a new culture.

Couldn't have said it better. These 2 have been given multiple chances, and should have a very short rope, if any.

I respect your opinions. As per the last comment, I do believe that Jordan's PT (if he comes back) may be influencing Sampson to go elsewhere. Sampson is getting a lot projected on him, & as a freshman, it's hard to predict what he will do & how much he can be relied upon.
2 years ago when DH had his diva moment, a lot of ppl were saying he'd played his last game for us, & such. We are pretty lucky he came back. Kids can make mistakes & come back. Also, Mullin is not probably gonna tolerate too much nonsense. I usually like to think of it like this: let's get the best talent available & let the staff deal with them, discipline them & coach them.
Obekpa is a very important interior defender. Jordan is a top talent. If Mullin is cool with it, they should be welcomed.

it served the Terps well last year.

Jacklitsch is an asst coach at Our Savior ?

yes, but they got Trimble and he is a game changer. Will we get one? Especially at PG.

Of course. I was pointing to the larger picture. It might hurt our chances for one year, but the new guys won't be exposed to the up and down "growing pains" of the we know who.
-
He's back...the rest is nonsense....he's back and excited.....and working.
-
Why would that coach say that
-
My guess is got blamed for leaking to someone else......who broke CO story....but just speculating.
-
Why would that coach say that
If you knew EJack you would know why.

No one really speaks for many of these kids except themselves.....I believe that is 100% true of Diallo.......
