One of the worst parts of getting hurt for Thompson was that colleges didn't get to see him. You aren't seen so sometimes you can be forgotten, but a pair of schools Thompson said stayed in contact, which meant a lot to him.

"St. John's and West Virginia sent letters and called my coaches St. Anthony's so that meant a lot to me," Thompson said about the schools who remained in contact during his injury.

He said that he considers St. John's his home school being from Harlem, and would have no problem staying home and playing for the Red Storm, admitting he would strongly consider them if they were to eventually make an offer.

It is strange that we have not recruited him.

On the recruiting front, Thompson says UConn, Syracuse, Georgetown, Seton Hall and Providence are working the hardest, but that he's still open to new schools. Xavier has also been in touch via assistant coach Luke Murray.
