Were Mo, Matt, and Slice holding hands and singing Kumbaya  (sic?)?  :)

Nope.

Congrats to Ponds who really loves SJU already

Glad he didn't listen to Cooley about no blacks assistant coaches

Hopefully the three of them Matt Chris and Slice goes to the NJ champion ship tonight

why doesn't ST jean ever goes on recruiting trail he might be good at it
St. Jean stays behind in his office studying X and Os. Somebody has too and needs too.  ;) :)

Ponds looks like he will be an immediate contributor for us.  Our backcourt will be a ton better already next season, and we will have depth there as well.  I like the Boatright comparison, but Ponds is a little bit taller than Boatright, even if not quite the amazing athlete.

Could be wrong but I'm pretty sure only a certain amount of coaches can recruit. 2 assistants and the HC?

Nope. All coaches can recruit at same time. Rule changed a few years ago

Well in that case, what the heck is that clown St. Jean's problem?

Ponds reminds me an awful lot of Ryan Boatright at the same age. Quick, aggressive and looks to go get buckets off the dribble.

Good comp. Ponds has some magic to his game...Hattenesque on both ends.

Would be fine for Ponds year one in most places, but suspect not on this site. :)

Congratulations to Shamorie!

Hopefully our coaches rode together in the same car and Slice has a table at Rao's tonight for the three of them.

Hopefully Slice didn't hire the limo and it takes a detour on the ride back.

The Wave rolls on. @Jeffbballbklyn beats LuHi 69-62 and will play for its first state title 9 p.m. tomorrow against Aquinas.

Wet shooter and dribbles well with both hands.  Shamori, Lovett, Ahmed, Freudenberg, Owens etc...  A huge injection of talent.

Was just as impressed with him live as I was with his highlights. He finishes at the rim like a college senior, with both hands.
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

This kid is the future of St. John's hoops. Let's temper expectations on the kid but him and the class coming in with him have that feel of something very good brewing in Johnnies land. I wish it was 2016-2017 season already.
