I finally saw this movie yesterday and I was very disappointed. I understand having to change things around to make a 600-page book fit into a movie, but c'mon!
Why alter things you don't have to? The Carmelengo goes from being Italian and having his mom die to being Irish and having his dad die in an Ulster bombing? One of the Cardinals lives and becomes pope? No Max Kohler! No Gunther Glick or Chinitta! Vittoria's partner dies and not her father?
How about the Hassasin being a skinny white guy? I could probably name a hundred big things that they just completely changed.
