IMO IONA is the top local team!

Roster is overhauled and ready to go 10 deep. When will the hierarchy at SJU take off the skirts and play the Gaels?

St. John's isn't dodging anyone...Iona needs to go above .500 in the MAAC before they start calling anyone out.  With Iona and Manhattan having down years...Marist is the new local power in the MAAC.

Though it would be nice if at least every other year the holiday festival included either Fordham or Iona or both.

Iona RPI was in the 200's

Marist has a new coach and lost its top recruits and players. Rider loses Jason Thompson

Who than?

Rutgers has the best recruiting class of 08. If you talking NYC only, IONA maybe, but I'm willing to bet SJU is the best local team.

I included Big East schools. St Johns beat Rutgers and Seton Hall last year. St Johns also lost to a MAAC team (Niagara) who beat IONA by 6 points
