absolutely awful basketball late. can't melt down like that and be a tourny team. going to OT

Moore and Roberts have been missing and Butler has had a lot of success with lightly contest layups.

Tough game. Butler did a great job making the game be played at their pace and not ours. We got absolutely nothing in transition all night.

Obviously the turnover at the end of regulation was the killer but the fatal flaw of the gameplan was the defensive strategy against Thompson. The kid can't make a shot beyond 10 feet and that's being generous. Playing on-ball pressure against him is playing right into his hands and it makes it easier for him to play to his strength of beating you off the dribble and getting into the lane for layups or finding open teammates. Thought the team could have done a better job of camping the lane against him. He clearly killed us.

Not sure why Greg isn't playing more.

hard to say you deserve to make the tournament when you're up 2 with 7 sec to play against butler, with the ball you can't make an inbound pass (when you had a timeout), then you play absolutely terrible defense (alexander got demolished on that play to tie the game)

What seed are they going to be in the NIT. This loss will come back to bite them in the arse.

Resume killing game up 16 you can’t lose that game ...up 2 with ball with 10 seconds have to inbounds that ball. Clear hook on drive by Thompson at end of game but no way it gets called. Must win next two vs Xavier and DePaul

they played terrible defense against providence too

strange that they could turn the pressure up on villanova and let providence and butler score on them...that's a let down. Only reason they didn't lose both games is because they shot insanely well vs. Providence, just not a sustainable level. Teams that are barely good enough to be on the NCAA bubble can't be letting down at any point
