SHORT BENCH

Head coach Norm Roberts heads into the Canadian trip with a little less depth than he expects to have at the start of the 2009-10 regular season. Anthony Mason Jr., whose recovery from last season's foot surgery is documented in an upcoming episode of "MTV's True Life" series, will likely not appear in any of the Red Storm's Canadian games while resting a tweaked hamstring, suffered during practice on Thursday. Junior Dele Coker, a Nigerian citizen, did not make the trip with the team due to complications with his travel visa. Juniors Sean Evans (toe), Rob Thomas (knee) and Justin Burrell (groin) have all missed portions of practice in the last few days with minor aches and pains, but are expected to play in the Saturday and Sunday contests.

Wow...sports information department stepping up their game!
When you're a kid from New York and you do it in New York, that lasts forever!

Might be a 5 guard offense- glad we're not playing big teams.

Sounded like from previous posts that opponents are not big underneath.

Nah KOB ... that's what they went with.  I guess no Sean and Norm wanted to go with the veteran guys.

We started out on fire up 12-2 ... then norm subbed out the regs and put in stith, hardy, omari, brownlee and rob and apparently mcgill went on an 18-0 run to make it 20-12 after 1st quarter (they are playing 4 10 min. quarters).

Back to the vets and it appears Boothe and JB are going off and right now we are pulling away and are up 33-24.

Twitter ... i dont know who it is but if you follow STJ_Basketball on there he is updating real fast.

last tweet was STJ_BasketballUp 52-26 at the half, courtesy of a layup by Dwight Buckets. Outscored 'em 40-6 in Q2. Pushing the ball, and playing a basic, open offense.

STJ_Basketball  At the half: Boothe 10 pts, Brownlee 9, Burrell 8. Evans with 5 rebs in 6 min. 60 pct. FGs. 22-9 rebs. No one's played more than 11 min.

(Not suprised spreading out the minutes ... considering we're playing later on tn)

STJ_BasketballSean Evans just dunked so hard I think the rim may cry. Then Boothe just threw one up perfectly for Q-Rob to slam down. Line change coming!

STJ_BasketballHaving trouble covering Malik Stith (7 pts) on Twitter. He's faster than TweetDeck can update! Just fed Paris in the corner for a trans. 3!

STJ_BasketballHere comes Sean Evans... hide your children. He's hurting feelings now. Just flushed a Stith handoff. STJ TO with 5:13 to play, up 82-49.
