What's Iona's OOC schedule looking like so far?

Guarantee you won't see St Johns on it
You're right...Why should we? Doesn't make sense...Nothing in it for us...Everything in it for Iona...It's a Super Bowl for them...Would you do a deal like that in your business?

Actually this might hurt Iona's RPI

I guess St. John's does something right after all.  No need to play that shiitty program.

Yes, we should stick to quality competition like powerhouses Fordham, Wagner and Columbia

I'm going to the Tulane game.

I've been to countless games at Alumni and the Garden.  I've been to 2 at Barclay's.  What's wrong with something new and fresh?  Wish I could have that in my love life.

The Penn State game was fun last year up until the brutal outcome.  Don't see how the program is harmed any by playing to 3k at Barclays as opposed to 3.5k at Alumni or 4.5k at Msg?
3K at Barclays and 4.5K at MSG are both bad looks.   If this team can't confidently bank on a draw of 5K+, have the game at CA, play it on the road, or don't play it at all.  I'd rather have a 1-2 fewer games at MSG or Barclays than have 1-2 games where the story is "this building is empty - sju is irrelevant."  Tulane game at Barclays Center outside of the season ticket package makes it a lock for less than 5K... unless SJU is ranked at that time.

It's already been determined on this board that we need to play at Msg for recruiting purposes.  And now that we've added the A-10 and tanked another season, there's many games where we "can't confidently bank on a draw of 5k+" before we even begin to look at out of conference matchups against non-sexy conferences.

So empty houses at Barclays and Msg are going nowhere fast.  We might as well sit back, relax and enjoy a game in a venue that's isn't dry.  It does help ease the pain.  That's that.

I went to the triple header against St Francis Brooklyn in 2012 before I was a season ticket holder. I like the Barclays, a tad harder to get to than the easy MSG from Queens but I enjoyed the experience. But as a season ticket holder now no way am I going to Barclays unless it's in the package, which it won't be.

When you're spending $300+ on 20 games already it's nice to just sit back and watch on TV....or radio.

@whitebluereview: More games added to the @BIGEASTMBB non-conference schedules for 2014-15.  See what's there so far: http://t.co/tKbD35lzJp

I wish they would play a destination game/tourney every year. It would be even nice to schedule a game at Mohegan Sun or Boardwalk Hall in AC.

I hate Nova agreeing to play Excuse at MSG in 15-16.  Nova is allowing Excuse to throw it in our face

I guess that means our series with Cuse won't be continuing after this year.

If we are not playing Cuse. We should call up UCONN. They will come. Playing UCONN at a packed house wont be embrassing. Playing Tulane in front of 300 will.

Playing UConn in a packed house with 85% UConn fans is just as embarrassing if you ask me.

As long as we are solid it won't be in front of 85% UCONN fans

They have better fans than we do. We were solid this year, and in a our biggest game in years against Xavier, St.John's students and alumni showed what they were really made of, yet again. Very little.

If we played UCONN it would not and has never been 85% UCONN. To say so is just false. Xavier was a big game. Wasnt a big crowd. The crowd was into the game. It was 100% sju. 8:00 on a sunday night against a non rival is not going to bring the fans in.

That's the kind of sissy attitude that defines STJ fans. In the city that never sleeps, STJ students makes sure they get theirs. The ad is right, "St.John's students are different". They certainly are different.

The players didn't show up for the Xavier game either.
