Wonder if this means Maker will try to make the jump too.  His high school history is so muddled that it is unclear whether this is applicable to him or not:

According to ESPN's Jeff Borzello, St. John's and Arizona State are "making the hardest push for him."

I think mentioning us as not having the talent to sorround him is the lazy approach. If we were to get Thon we would be very deep and could easily be a bubble team year one. So to say we don't have the team around when we will have 4 four star player including Lovett on the court for next year. Not to mention a front court of sima, yakwe and maker would be one of the better ones in the league.

seems like he'll be coming on an official sometime soon
So Slice says we are going hard after Rawle but if you read both boards it's almost like we backed off to most posters. SMH

Great to see that Slice is still working hard on Maker.  Still think that Thon and Ed Smith are interested in seeing if Rawle comes here.  Seems that getting Rawle would make us far more attractive to Thon.

I don't mind that he's officialing to Kansas.  He'd be stupid not to check it out: great atmosphere and 12 straight SEC titles, a remarkable achievement.  While he's there, hope he gets a minute alone with Diallo to see what he thinks about the way he's been used this season and finds out what, if any, promises were made to him.

Let's face it: if any recruits were picking us for our record this year, nobody would be coming.  Some very good players already are, and a couple more very well could.

Have to be thankful that some of these kids and their handlers have been able to see where they fit into what CM is building here rather than fixating on this season's wins and losses.

We have Ponds and Ahmed. Is Rawlie that much better than they are?

Ponds and LoVett are maybe 6'1 and slightly built; Rawle is 6'5, a bull, and a 5 star.  I love Ponds and LoVett, but don't you think a team that's 1 and 16 in BE play and has very little muscle for next year has more than a couple of slots to fill?

Kansas has a lot of depth down low...and seeing what happened with Diallo not sure why Thon would be really really interested to go there.  Obviously players of his caliber are expecting and talented enough to start almost anywhere they go.  But Kansas does have a lot of depth down there like Bragg, Diallo, Azubuike, and Lightfoot could be tough to get playing time with such depth...but we will see
