Good luck tonight to Braica and the Terriers. Go get it

Great season Braica and SFC. Free throws killed them. Give me Iona vs St Francis in the NIT
-
Other than jaspers and Iona how big of a difference in quality is the rest of the maac to the ned ? Haven't seen many other of the teams this year other than maybe 1 quinnipiac game

Monmouth, Rider, Quinnipiac decent. Rest pretty bad. League sucked this year

Glad my man Andy Toole finally made it to the dance.

MAAC is a much better league. The NEC is one of the bottom three leagues in the country.
Disappointed St. Francis couldn't pull it out last night...was really cheering for them.

I think Braica is a really good evaluator of talent. I hope to see him get a better job.

It's a tough gig. It's hard to compete with Monmouth, Robert Morris, and Quinnipiac with all they have to offer. Maybe Fordham (another tough gig) will be looking into him shortly. That program can turn around very quickly with the right fit.

Then lucky for them that both Monmouth and Quinnipiac moved to the MAAC.

Thanks smart ass :) I meant historically. St. Francis can't match those campuses.
It still does't fully explain St. Francis never getting an invite to the dance. You'd think there would be one season they could get an under the radar city kid or two or get some Brooklyn kid to transfer back home.

As has been noted, St. Francis hasn't never made the NCAA tournament. They started playing basketball in 1901.
The other four original 120 NCAA teams to never make the tournament are:
William & Mary
Northwestern
The Citadel
Army (were offered a bid that Bobby Knight turned down for NIT)

Monmouth's basketball facilities were dog doo until the MAC was built in 2009. Didn't take them too long to upgrade conferences after that. Quinnipiac on the other hand had the premier facility of the conference for a long time.
I think Braica would be able to get Marist cooking again.

Maybe a dumb question for some of you guys, but are you better off going from head coach in a low level d

I always thought that he, and obviously Norm, were too nice for the rough and tumble world that was the old big east, circa 2007. Coaches like Calhoun, Boeheim, Pitino, etc. walked all over them.
I'm glad to see that Braica has wound up in a league where his kind of personality is more openly accepted.

Man crappy way to end the season, I'll be thinking about why LJ didnt drive the lane all summer!
The look Simon had on the follow up was a better look than LJ would have gotten.
