Think we are going to lose. Worst matchup in the conference for us (really for anyone, but us in particular IMO). My concern is everyone staying healthy and getting better for the BE tournament.
We shoot the ball from 3 well, like last game, and it will be a barn burner.

I say play the bench and rest/heal the starters because the Thursday game against Butler will be more important. I want us to beat Nova next Friday night.

if branch is healthy and we get a little help from the bench we can compete. Team, in particular Dom, Greene and Jordan, are playing at a high level lately. Out guards must out play theirs to win, our front line will have a tough time though Im sure Dom will do his thing

Played gonzaga and Duke tough. Played them even for 30 plus . They are better overall. Think we beat them once in the next week.

I don't get that board. They were going along talking good hoop stuff and the broke down completely and started talking nasty and dumb about DLo. Maybe they have the fans with brains go first and then finish up with the dopes.

Good post. My brother in law played for Jay Wright. He is a hard ass, takes no sht, but fair guy and great coach. Great judge of character. No surprise he appreciates Harrison for his growth

For anybody saying to rest the starters or concede the game, I think you are absolutely crazy.
Let's continue our strong play and make a run at a very good #1 seed at home. A close game or a win would mean the world to this group going into the tournaments.

Not meaningless. A win here against the #4 team in the nation most definitely improves our Ncaa seeding irrespective of what happens in the conference tournament. Win in Philly and we just might get a winnable game in the mid-west region.

Dom playing so smart this year. No need for those pull up 3's. Nova has guys who can guard him better than most every other team in the Big EasT and is making a point to take him away. Just let the game come to him and do damage from 15 feet in like he has all year.

We are not playing defense . They had a lot of easy dunks and wide open 3's . Nova is doing a great job on pointer, but we are getting good looks from perimeter .

It gets magnified against this team too simply red. They have 4 guys who can pick and roll you to death, 6 guys who can spread the floor and make threes, and two bigs who can score in the low post. Much harder to defend than other teams who don't have all of those things on the floor at one time.

I don't agree. There's a walk on the bench that should be playing over him. I would suggest he transfer to lesser conference but instead I think he should just stop playing basketball period. If he doesn't care, no one should have to watch him go through the motions. He's a disgrace.

This St. John’s team are bullies, however when the bully gets punched in the face they have a hard time responding. Hopefully we get some finesse teams in the tournament or we are toast! Because as we saw today when we get punched back we retreat!

Nothing to take from this one bad or good. We already know we are shorthanded, especially on the frontline, and I was shocked the first half was even close, as Noca has blown the doors off good teams at full strength this year (like providenxe).
Assuming Phil is ok - he tweaked something and left and came back - no harm comes from this game. Lets hope Branch and Chris benefit from the extra rest and are easy to go on Thursday. The next few weeks should be fun.

Disagree Kahn. This team got TKO'ed in DC and came back a week later and beat down the Hoyas. Heart and fight isn't the issue with our core players. Nova is a better team and bad matchup for us even at full strength because of their personnel. It wasn't about backing down to a bully today. It was about having no answer for Pinkston and Ochefu, and wearing down because of the lack of depth
