while i think we'd all love to have 5 star HS Srs to choose us, it seems going the transfer route may be the winning recipe for us. with the trouble we've had with ineligibles, early departures, and transfers (not so much lately), incoming transfers can give us the stability we want.
1. they've already cleared NCAA
2. since they've already/will sit out a year, highly unlikely they transfer again
3. get to spend a year with us before suiting up
i like this a lot. hope to land a few.
-
Do we lose a scholarship for the year a transfer has to sit out?

You don't "lose it" but rather use it for a transfer.
-
I believe so.....meaning the sitting out for a year player uses it.
-
Using transfers is how Steve Fisher built San Diego State into a solid program.

And how Hoiberg (and Matt A) turned Iowa State around

Exactly.

I get the impression we may have a radically different roster next season.
Obviously the seniors will be replaced, but at this point it wouldn't surprise me if only 2 or 3 players return from the previous season's roster.
Amar? Felix. Not sure who else after that is likely to be back.
Chris and co. are doing their own thing, and I applaud them for that.

Was thinking the same. And I'm fine with that

Yup

Still think Sheed is back and possibly CO if the staff thinks he will behave. Either way I'm confident the staff will make the best move for the program.
-
CO is back...it's done.

. Sheed?

That's the more important question.

I personally think you will see Rysheed, Obekpa, Felix, Amar, and Jones back
Then you add Williams Owens and Sima
I think only Sammy Barnes Thompkins comes
That still leaves 4 more spots for recruits
-
I will take Sampson, Diallo, Collins and Mussini/Papa lol.
-
CO is back...it's done.
Saying this because of the reports that were out a few weeks ago or first hand knowledge?
-
I will take Sampson, Diallo, Collins and Mussini/Papa lol.
I can live with that
Realistically you got to hope our new staff can convince Diallo to stay in NY and I just love Papa and Mussini game
Sampson I really want but I don't feel great about him coming, I hope I am wrong
-
Essentially first hand....and press reports.....

Give me those recruits, to go along with we've already added and the returnees, then we could find ourselves with a pretty good team.
