After tonight, we should consider inviting Duke and NC to join. The ACC spent all that money to buy the best league in college basketball. Some folks should sue for their money back.
That said, and now off my chest, North Carolina is really a superb team and competitor and it took remarkable skill and luck and courage and coaching to nip them in the end..
Villanova just accomplished more than anything done so far to re-establish the BE image and reputation and we should thank them for increasing the value of every franchise in this league. Not only that , they happen to be good guys.
The next step is for St. John's and Georgetown to complete their re-build and the rest will fall in line to cement a new and enduring history of the significance and quality of the North East game, the Big East, the Garden, and city kids forever.
I am so proud of what happened in Houston. Let's go St.John's!!!
